CONSUMER LAW PRACTICE

So you think you're having a  bad hair day? This hair product didn't work as advertised!

Have you recently been hoodwinked because you spent your hard-earned money on a product that didn't deliever as promised?

Did you get a charge on a bill that you never agreed to or didn't understand?

Were you charged for services you didn't ask for or want?

Did terms not discussed or revealed to you appear in favor of the seller?

This happens with alarming regularity. Companies big, small, and in between can gouge hundreds or even thousands of their customers for small amounts of money.  This can translate into huge profits for them. If the dispute involves a large amount of money, it may be worth hiring an attorney to help navigate through the dispute. Call us so that we can determine if we can help.

What are the consumer's options? Small Claims court is an option. Often times however, the amount in dispute exceeds the Small Claims limit, yet does not warrant paying the fees attorneys must charge in order to stay in business.

You could try to find a lawyer and file a lawsuit. Good luck with that. It costs hundreds of dollars simply to file your lawsuit, much less pay an attorney. If the amount in controversy is a small, it makes no sense to go through the conventional court process.

There is an alternative. Perhaps you should consider calling me and discussing the possibility of filing a class action lawsuit. California has laws with teeth that protect comsumers from being taken advantage of by big companies. You just have to know how to apply them.

Call my office at (805) 473-1600 to discuss the possibilities. Or you can contact me by email at kurt@kurtbergerlaw.com. You could be helping yourself and thousands of other Californians who are being preyed upon by unscroupulous purveyors.
